Herringbone Pattern French Oak Floor in Nocatee

French Oak flooring installed in herringbone pattern.For this project, the homeowners in Nocatee, Florida wanted 4 3/4″ wide French Oak engineered flooring by Valaire , color Lorraine installed in a herringbone pattern in their Master bedroom.

Yes, installing a wood floor in a herringbone pattern takes a little more planning, time, and work than installing wood planks side by side. But the installed flooring is both visually appealing and memorable!

After moving the bedroom furniture and removing the old flooring, we leveled the concrete slab subfloor with Bostik SL-150 Self Leveler.

We spotted some small cracks in the concrete slab subfloor. Small, surface stress cracks in poured concrete floors can appear as the home settles. Our crew fills in cracks wider than 1/4″, but the leveler fills smaller ones.

We chose Bostik GreenForce adhesive for this project.
