One of the local realtors we had worked with previously referred their client to Dan’s Floor Store 904.887.8303. (Referrals are always appreciated!) The client knew exactly what she wanted for her new home – gray stair treads with white risers.
Our client was just moving to this area, so we did all of our communication about this project via phone calls and photos. (Dan sent her photos of the job, as it was progressing, too.)
First we removed the old carpet from the stairway in her new home.
We sanded down the treads and both rails of the Oak staircase, to stain all of the pieces to the gray that our client wanted. Our crew applied quality Bona gray stain to get the look our client wanted for her staircase. We finished the stair treads and rails with durable Pallmann Pall-X Power ultra matte finish.
Our crew pre-stains and finishes treads prior to installing them to limit any stain getting on the skirt boards (side boards)and risers.
We aligned and installed the white risers on the stair frame.
Next our crew began installing the gray stained Oak stair treads and rails. We also painted the newel post white for our client.
Our new client was thrilled with the outcome after she arrived to her new home and saw her new staircase! And we always like to have happy clients!
