One of our homebuilder friends contracted Dan’s Floor Store 904.887.8303 to do the flooring part of their new home project. They selected 9″ wide LVP (Luxury Vinyl Plank) flooring for the floors and stairs, in the color Luray Caverns, by LW Flooring. This LVP comes in varied lengths, which makes the installation and the look of the installed flooring more interesting.

Our crew began by leveling the subfloors. We leveled the concrete slab subfloor downstairs. We also sanded the edges of the plywood sheet subfloor upstairs to create a leveled surface for the LVP flooring. Dan’s Floor Store has found that leveling the surface of the subfloor prior to installing new flooring gives better results and happier clients.

Next came the installation of the Luxury Vinyl Plank flooring on the upstairs and downstairs floors, and the stairway. We found and installed matching nosing for the stair treads.

These homeowners contracted Dan’s Floor Store 904.887.8303 to replace the existing carpet and tile throughout their entire home with Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) flooring, including covering the stairway with LVP. We can do that!

We leveled the concrete slab subfloor with Bostik SL150 Leveler  to prepare it for LVP installation. A level subfloor is an important step to achieve a quality flooring installation. Our crew leveled the plywood subfloor upstairs by sanding the seams of the sheet plywood subfloor.

Our crew finished this Luxury Vinyl plank flooring installation. In one room, we installed the LVP in a diagonal pattern, to achieve the distinctive look our clients were looking for.

We continued the Acacia wood plank appearance LVP flooring for a matching look on the staircase treads, landings and nosings.

Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring for Bartram Park Condo

Our client was ready for a new look for the floors of the Bartram Park condo, near Bartram Park Boulevard, in Jacksonville, Florida.

After one of our FREE Dan’s Floor Store consultations, they selected 7″ wide Riverstone Amber Tide Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP), by LW Flooring.

Our crew started work by removing the old carpeting from all 3 condo bedrooms.

This condo had tile flooring in the main areas, the bathrooms, and laundry room. So we installed 1/2″ thick sheet plywood in place of the carpeting, gluing it to the concrete slab subfloors. The plywood brings the surface of the subfloors level with the surface of the tile flooring.

Our client did not want to have the old tile flooring removed, so our crew ground the high spots on the tiles to get the level surface we needed for LVP installation.

We applied Bostik GreenForce adhesive at the doorways, and feathered the adhesive to make a smooth transition from the tile subfloor to the sheet plywood. Our crew applied and feathered the Bostik GreenForce adhesive at the kitchen doorway, to transition from tile subfloor to tile subfloor.

Our crew installed the 7″ wide Luxury Vinyl Plank flooring throughout the condo.

7″ wide Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring and Stairway – Nocatee FL

When the owners of a home in the Willow Cove community of Nocatee, Florida were ready for a flooring and stairway improvement project for their home, they contracted our Dan’s Floor Store 904.887.8303 for the job!

Following one of our FREE consultations, these homeowners chose 7″ wide Luxury Vinyl Plank flooring by Du Chateau, Color – Lancia.

This home had tile flooring in some areas of the first floor, laminate flooring in the master bedroom, and carpeting on the stairs and upstairs floor.

Our client wanted their old tile flooring covered with the LVP, rather than being removed. So, we leveled the tiles by grinding them on the diagonal.

We removed the old laminate flooring in the master bedroom. Then our crew glued down sheets of plywood to the concrete subfloor in the master bedroom, using durable Bostik Greenforce adhesive. Adding this plywood creates a subfloor for the LVP (Luxury Vinyl Plank) in the Master bedroom that is level with the top of the ground tiles.

Our crew also removed the old carpet from the stairway.

Then we installed the Luxury Vinyl Plank flooring on the floors. Our crew also installed the LVP on the stair frame, with matching nosing and white risers.

A customer moving to a home in Ponte Vedra Beach (the Mikler / A1A area) contracted Dan’s Floor Store 904.887.8303 to install LVP (Luxury Vinyl Plank) flooring in their new home.

duChateau Youngscombe LVPThey selected the Youngscombe pattern LVP by duChateau for the floors and stairway. We were contracted to install this Luxury Vinyl Plank over the top of many existing tile and wood floors, throughout the house.

Some areas of the home had vinyl flooring and carpet, which our crew had to remove first. Then we installed plywood in its place. This makes the subfloor flush to the existing tile and wood floor elsewhere in the home.

Our crew found every single subtread on the stairway to be terribly unlevel. So, in order to install the LPV flooring on the stairway in this home, our crew was required to redo every, single subtread.

Also, when we placed a straight edge over the tiled areas of the home (which would serve as the subfloor for the new flooring) we found dips in areas of that tile job. So, our crew used wood flooring adhesive to level out the tiled areas.

Once the wood flooring adhesive over the tile fully dried, we were able to install all of the new LPV flooring.

Oak Look Luxury Vinyl Plank Installation in Ponte Vedra Beach

These Ponte Vedra Beach homeowners wanted new flooring for their home, and called Dan’s Floor Store 904.887.8303 for a free consultation and estimate. They needed 1,700 square feet of flooring, and wanted the 22 steps and 3 landings in the home to match.

Our crew began this project by ripping out the old carpet, wood flooring, tile, and baseboards.

Next we leveled the concrete slab subfloor to prepare it for the luxury vinyl plank installation.

We set up our on-site shop on the paver driveway.

Luxury Vinyl Plank Stairway and Flooring Installation in Nocatee

Luxury vinyl plank flooring - installedWhen they were ready for a flooring improvement project in their home, some Nocatee residents contracted Dan’s Floor Store 904.887.8303 to install Luxury Vinyl Plank on their stairway and on the second floor of their home.

Our clients chose 7″ wide Luxury Vinyl Plank by Palmetto Road Flooring in the color “Good Earth”, from the Tidewater collection.

This job was all upstairs work and stairs. Our crew started by sanding the seams of the plywood subfloor. It appeared that the plywood had swollen at the seams in the sheets of plywood, possibly from rain before the roof was installed on the home.

This first step is just one of things we do to make a quality flooring installation for happy clients. We don’t just go into a new job site and start laying down the new flooring. Our crew starts by prepping the subfloor. And for this job, it meant sanding all the raised plywood subfloor seams so the Luxury Vinyl flooring planks would lay flat and evenly over the subfloor. This step is very important for good results with Luxury Vinyl Plank flooring. Luxury Vinyl Plank is not made to absorb irregularities in the subflooring surface.
