A homeowner in Willowcove in Nocatee contracted Dan’s Floor Store to install Pergo handscraped Hickory flooring (which they had already purchased) in their home.

Of course, we sell solid wood, engineered wood, laminate, luxury vinyl plank flooring from our Dan’s Floor Store showroom in Ponte Vedra, but we will also install wood flooring for clients, too.

This client contracted us to install their wood flooring over existing tile in their home. We explained that the best way to install their wood flooring would be to allow us to remove the old tile, level the floor, and then install their wood flooring. We cannot warranty a wood flooring installation over existing tile, because if the tile comes up, then the wood flooring on top will come up too. We explained that to our client and also stated that in writing with the homeowner. But the homeowner said they understood and still wanted their handscraped Hickory flooring installed over their existing tile flooring, so that is what we did.

Our crew used Bostiks GreenForce adhesive to adhere the wood flooring to the tile.

We also installed new quarter round and various moldings to complete the job.
