Parquet wood floor refinishing for a DIY project?

Some DIY (Do It Yourself) projects sound and look a lot easier than they turn out to be. Parquet refers to detailed woodblock flooring, made of short pieces of hardwood. Parquet floors are installed arranged in a decorative pattern, to create a mosaic look. The woodblocks can be made from solid wood or can be engineered wood.

Here are some photos taken while we were refinishing the parquet wood flooring. We finished the floor with Bona Mega Clear HD semi gloss, for increased scuff/scratch resistance with no amber tint.
