Red Oak Sand and Finish PVB Sawmill Lakes

This Dan’s Floor Store project took place in Ponte Vedra Beach, in a community called Sawmill Lakes. This homeowner was moving up here from South Florida. She had just purchased the home. It had existing rotary peeled Red Oak flooring with a very nice veneer that was able to be sanded. We were contracted to refinish this floor.

A few boards in the home’s office had to be repaired (caused by a chair rubbing).

Our crew ended up sanding three different cuts of paper to remove this old, rough aluminum oxide finish!

We handcrafted a beautiful wooden medallion insert to be congruent to the Red oak treads, in color, using Bona Redout stain with White Birch, a special blend of Bona stains.

We ended up going back with Pallmann Clear as our sealer, with two coats of Pallmann Semi-Gloss Power because our customer desired a shiny appearance. She told us that she was thrilled with the outcome! Dan’s Floor Store always likes to have happy clients!
