Sand and Finish Old Heart Pine Floors in St. Augustine

Dan’s Floor Store of Ponte Vedra, Florida 904.887.8303 was contracted to refinish Old Heart Pine flooring and stairway in a home in historic downtown Saint Augustine, Florida. There is 1,600 square feet of flooring in this home.

The project home and a nearby church:

The Pine wood was to be sanded and finished with 3 coats of Bona wood line polyurethane gloss. Our clients also wanted their refinished Heart Pine flooring and stairs to retain the same historic appearance as seen in other old homes in their area. To achieve this look, we used an oil modified polyurethane for three coats with gloss being the final coat sheen. (They wanted something really, really shiny.)
