Installing European Oak Flooring in 20 Mile

It’s great to have prior flooring clients recommend you to their friends and call you for a new flooring job.

We had just done a flooring job for these clients in a home in the Coastal Oaks community in Nocatee, Florida, six months ago. When they called us for this job, they had just purchased a new home in the 20 Mile community in Nocatee. They wanted to replace the carpeting on the upstairs floors and stairs in the new home with wood flooring.

Our crew began by removing approximately 1,800 square feet of carpeting from the floors and stairway of their new home.

We leveled the upstairs floors by sanding and hand scraping the edges of the sheet plywood subfloor.

Our clients chose 7 1/2″ wide engineered European Oak hardwood flooring by Sawgrass Hills. We installed the European Oak flooring on the floors and stairs using durable Bostik Greenforce adhesive. Our crew finished the hardwood flooring installation on the stair frame with matching stair nosing.

Replace Red Oak with White Oak flooring in Palencia

Dan’s Floor Store 904.887.8303 works hard to have happy clients. A majority of our flooring and tile work is the result of recommendations from prior clients, and even from repeat clients!

This flooring project took place on a street in the Palencia Country Club community where we have done many prior jobs. Actually, this flooring project was a result of the recommendation from the next door neighbor, who is one of our prior clients from a few years ago.

For this job, homeowners wanted a new look for the floors in their home; replacing their old, Red Oak floors and the tile flooring in their laundry room. They selected 7 1/2″ wide, engineered White Oak flooring by Sawgrass Hills, color Malaga.

Here’s a look at the 3″ wide, rotary peeled Red Oak floors they had, and the laundry room tile floor.

Our crew removed their old Red Oak flooring and the tile flooring. Then we leveled the concrete slab subfloor. It’s important for the new flooring to lay as flat as possible on the subfloor, for a quality flooring installation.

Next our crew installed the 7 1/2″ wide White Oak flooring, using durable Bostik GreenForce adhesive. You can see the flooring straps we use to hold the wider wood planks in place during installation in the photos.

Engineered White Oak Flooring Installation in Nocatee

Engineered White Oak Hardwood Flooring Installation – Hammock Beach FL

Engineered White Oak flooring - installedAs part of a new home construction project, Dan’s Floor Store 904.887.8303 was contracted to install 1,600 square feet of engineered White Oak hardwood flooring. And this flooring was also installed on the stair frame, to create a matching staircase. The home is located in the northern part Hammock Beach, Florida.

The homeowners chose 7 1/2″ wide by 5/8″ thick White Oak flooring in random lengths. This flooring is made by Sawgrass Hills, in the color named Malaga. Our crew did quite a bit of a leveling of the concrete slab subfloor, as in all jobs. We prepare the substrate so that the flooring which we install lays level across it. A leveled subfloor means there will be no hollow spots under your new flooring. Next our crew installed the White Oak flooring using Bostik Green Force Adhesive and Moisture Control Membrane.

We covered the stair frame with the same White Oak flooring and stair nosing, for a matching look. The stair treads that our crew made feature mitered returns for a nice, finished look.
