We began this project by moving most of the household furniture into their garage. (The Master bedroom furniture was not moved, because our clients were living there while we worked on their floors.)
Next our crew removed the tile flooring and old carpeting. One room had an blue epoxy floor, that reminded us of a blue bowling ball. We sanded the epoxy floor with our sanding buffer with a very rough plate, to prepare the smooth epoxy surface for leveling compound.
We used 15 bags of BOSTIK SL150 Leveler to level 2,000 square feet of the slab concrete and epoxied subfloor surface in this home, in preparation for the hardwood flooring installation. A level subfloor surface is important for a quality hardwood flooring installation.
This home had quite a few walls set at a diagonal to the main (length and width) dimensions of the rooms. Not a problem because our crew practices “measure twice and cut once” workmanship. We installed the European Oak hardwood flooring using durable, dependable Bostik GreenForce Adhesive.

Glass Tile Backsplashes Installed – Nocatee FL

The glass tiles were installed in a “running bond” (or brick) pattern. The installation required the glass tiles to be cut to fit around 7 electrical outlets in the 3 backsplash areas.
– There were some very thin, intricate cuts required, up under the kitchen cabinets, as you can see in the photos.
– Tiling around both sides of the exhaust hood vent also required custom tile cuts.

Sand and Finish Solid Red Oak Flooring in Avondale

8″ wide French Oak Flooring Installation – Plantation

This job for a local building contractor was installing 8″ wide, aged and smoked engineered French Oak flooring, Casimiro of the Villa Borghese collection by Bella Cera . We installed these wood floors in a 3,300 square foot new construction home in the Plantation community, in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
Our crew began this project by leveling the concrete slab subfloor with quality Bostik SL175 . A leveled subfloor is important for a good flooring job.
We installed the French Oak flooring with durable Bostik GreenForce adhesive .
Some of the photos show the custom cut wooden reducers we made for every place where the Oak wood flooring met with the tile flooring. The top surface of the wood flooring was higher than that of the tile. These reducers create a smoother transition between areas of the two different flooring media.
An important part of appealing flooring installations is making precision cuts, like around in floor electrical outlets, in floor plumbing, built-in cabinetry, and fireplace hearths. Our plan is to “Measure twice, and cut once.” We used flooring straps when installing the French Oak wood flooring, because of the width of the flooring planks.

Repair, Sand, Finish Red Oak Floors – Lakeshore, Jacksonville, FL

We often find vintage Red Oak flooring in homes like this one, which was built in the 1950s.
We began with the repairs. Some of the subfloor had to be replaced. And some joists needed strengthening by adding 2″ by 4″ boards for support. The old Red Oak floor required several weave-in repairs. One area of the flooring required a 15 plank weave-in repair.
The rest of the original Red Oak flooring was in decent condition.
It took some vigorous sanding to remove the old, tough polyurethane finish.
Then we restored this Red Oak flooring to its original beauty with one coat of clear Pallmann sealer, followed by two coats of Pallmann gold semi gloss. We had restored the original beauty in light natural tones of these Red Oak floors with the waterborne Pallmann finish.

Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring for Bartram Park Condo

After one of our FREE Dan’s Floor Store consultations, they selected 7″ wide Riverstone Amber Tide Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP), by LW Flooring.
Our crew started work by removing the old carpeting from all 3 condo bedrooms.
This condo had tile flooring in the main areas, the bathrooms, and laundry room. So we installed 1/2″ thick sheet plywood in place of the carpeting, gluing it to the concrete slab subfloors. The plywood brings the surface of the subfloors level with the surface of the tile flooring.
Our client did not want to have the old tile flooring removed, so our crew ground the high spots on the tiles to get the level surface we needed for LVP installation.
We applied Bostik GreenForce adhesive at the doorways, and feathered the adhesive to make a smooth transition from the tile subfloor to the sheet plywood. Our crew applied and feathered the Bostik GreenForce adhesive at the kitchen doorway, to transition from tile subfloor to tile subfloor.

Following one of our FREE consultations, these homeowners chose 7″ wide Luxury Vinyl Plank flooring by Du Chateau, Color – Lancia.
This home had tile flooring in some areas of the first floor, laminate flooring in the master bedroom, and carpeting on the stairs and upstairs floor.
Our client wanted their old tile flooring covered with the LVP, rather than being removed. So, we leveled the tiles by grinding them on the diagonal.
We removed the old laminate flooring in the master bedroom. Then our crew glued down sheets of plywood to the concrete subfloor in the master bedroom, using durable Bostik Greenforce adhesive. Adding this plywood creates a subfloor for the LVP (Luxury Vinyl Plank) in the Master bedroom that is level with the top of the ground tiles.
Our crew also removed the old carpet from the stairway.
Then we installed the Luxury Vinyl Plank flooring on the floors. Our crew also installed the LVP on the stair frame, with matching nosing and white risers.

3 1/4″ Wide Engineered Tigerwood Installation – Serenata Beach

After removing the old flooring, we leveled the concrete subfloor with quality Bostik SL-150.
This job was intricate because our crew cut the ends of the existing wood flooring square, then put in a header board across that flooring, and lined the new wood up to the old wood planks.
Next we glued down cork underlayment for the wood flooring, which was a requirement for sound deadening at this stacked condo.

9″ wide Luxury Vinyl Plank Installed – Floors and Stairway – PVB

Some areas of the home had vinyl flooring and carpet, which our crew had to remove first. Then we installed plywood in its place. This makes the subfloor flush to the existing tile and wood floor elsewhere in the home.
Our crew found every single subtread on the stairway to be terribly unlevel. So, in order to install the LPV flooring on the stairway in this home, our crew was required to redo every, single subtread.
Also, when we placed a straight edge over the tiled areas of the home (which would serve as the subfloor for the new flooring) we found dips in areas of that tile job. So, our crew used wood flooring adhesive to level out the tiled areas.
Once the wood flooring adhesive over the tile fully dried, we were able to install all of the new LPV flooring.
