Sand and Finish White Oak floors on little Piney Island, Fernandina

Dan’s Floor Store 904.887.8303 was contracted to refinish some 20+ year old, solid White Oak flooring. This project was in a home on Little Piney Island, right near the bridge to Fernandina Beach, Florida.

Sanding the old White Oak floors, revealed beautiful, select gray solid White Oak wood, and took away the old orangey/provincial-like stain.
To make sure we got the results our client wanted, we offered the look of three sample finishes, from which they could choose.

Our crew went back with our client’s choice; provided by a clear waterborne matte finish by Pallmann. First we applied Pallmann Clear, followed by two coats of Pallmann matte Power. Next our crew buffed down the entire floor and hand sanded all the edges. This helped us attain a smooth, beautiful final coat, which we applied after vacuuming.

Needless to say, our customers were super thrilled with the lighter, modern color of their old, solid White Oak floors. Dan’s Floor store likes to have happy clients.
