European Oak Flooring and Tile Install – Hibernia
For this job, Dan’s Floor Store 904.887.8303 installed engineered European Oak hardwood flooring, and did tile work in a New 2 story home in the Hibernia community of Fleming Island, Florida.
Our team always starts a wood flooring installation by leveling the concrete slab subfloor for first floor work. We level the sheet plywood subfloor upstairs by sanding and then hand scraping the edges. Then our team installed the 4mm veneer LW Flooring Paradise Island Hawea, a 10 1/4″ wide x ⅝ thick engineered European Oak flooring. This flooring came in random lengths, so we could provide added visual appeal to the wood flooring as we installed it.
Dan also sanded, stained and finished the new stair treads, railings and posts to match the Hawea flooring. Dan can stain match treads to blend with most styles of wood flooring or vinyl plank.
Our team also installed tile in several areas of the new home. Our customer purchased many tile selections from us such as Elsmer Terramor Bianco marble tile for the primary bathroom and Daltile Artcrafted Glazed Ceramic 3 x 12 Coconut for a guest bathroom.
After leveling the subfloor, our team installed hardiebacker boards to protect the shower and bath tub area walls and ceilings from moisture intrusion.
Next we installed the tiles on walls, ceilings, and floors in patterns as specified by the client. Their design included tiled niches in shower and bathtub areas, and some natural skylights. We thought these were some very interesting design features and beautiful selections of tile in this new home.
Our team also installed customer provided tile in several other areas of the house such as the laundry room, pool bath and another bathroom. Dan’s Floor Store sells many styles and designs of tile, but we can also install customer provided tile.
